Frequently Asked Questions
If you have any questions about our services or would like to know more about MobileOffice, please feel free to contact us at any time.
Can I have my email setup on more than one computer?
MobileOffice can be configured in as many computer clients as you need if you want but remember that MobileOffice does not need a client to be used. Unlike traditional POP mail service you do not have to worry about removing downloaded messages from the server and not being able to view them via another computer or webmail. With MobileOffice you are viewing the messages right from the server. Your messages and folders are on the server and able to be viewed from all your computers.
Does MobileOffice provide access to Iphone, Android, Blackberry and Microsoft devices?
Yes, and the best part is that is included at no additional charge.
Will I be able to access my email, contacts, and calendar when I am away from my computer?
MobileOffice will allow you to access all your information and communicate with your office from any computer that has access to the internet. Also since wireless synchronization is included with a smartphone you will be able to access all your data.
What versions of Microsoft Outlook are compatible?
MobileOffice does not need a client but we support most clients available Outlook, Thunderbird, Eudora, Entourage….
I currently use Outlook with a POP3 account. Why would I want to use your MobileOffice service?
Outlook offers mail, calendar, contacts and tasks for a single user. When you add MobileOffice to the mix, you now have access to the same features for your whole team, including meetings, and access to one another’s calendars. You also have access to file sharing, which allows you to share documents between group members from any location. You get Enterprise IM/Presence in the office and remotely.
Do we need to transfer our DNS to your control?
No, You will need the following information to provide to your DNS Provider:
Here are the MX Records:
1 @ aspmx.databoostinc.net
5 @ aspmx2.databoostinc.net
7 @ aspmx3.databoostinc.net
10 @ aspmx4.databoostinc.net…
How can I get started?
3 easy steps:
Purchase a MobileOffice Account
First, an order is placed for MobileOffice service. After the order is completed, you will receive an “Order Receipt” and a “Welcome to MobileOffice” email with all of the new account settings. Your domain ownership will be verified and approved for use in the system.
Set up a Domain Name
The next step is pointing your domain’s MX record to MailStreet so that new email stops going to your existing mail server/host and starts going to MailStreet. Optionally, you can also transfer the whole domain, and we will host the DNS/MX records for free. MX record changes usually propagate across the Internet quickly (between 1 and 24 hours,) and whole domain transfers take longer (24-48 hours).
Login to your Mobile Office Portal
After completing the DNS changes, you are ready to login in your MobileOffice portal. If you and your team still want to use Outlook it will be time to configure profiles with MAPI on each computer that will use the service. Don’t forget that with MobileOffice you get service on your Mobile device included so get that unit configured too. Also, if you get stuck, we are here to help.
Start chatting, sharing calendars, sharing files and sending emails…
Since you are scanning messages for viruses, do I still need an anti-virus client on my workstation?
Yes, everyone should be running a good updated anti-virus client. Any good commercial product with daily updates will work fine.
Do you offer Sharepoint?
MobileOffice provides the capability to share clasify documents in different folders with the capability to have public folders. This allows the user to share documents and have access to them from anywhere.
